Our painting company provides full exterior painting services including: House repaints along with lead abatement, house re-stains, new construction, and rental properties. We also tackle deck staining, fence staining, refinishing doors, and small commercial. During each of these projects our quality and communication with you as the homeowner or builder are most important to us.
House Repaints
Greenwood Painting provides full exterior home repaints. This includes all prep work such as power washing, scraping, sanding, caulking, priming, puttying, and taping. All light fixtures will be removed and other mounted items on the house. Door hardware will be removed before painting the doors. Once the prep work is complete all homes are painted using an airless sprayer and typically back rolled. Two coats are applied to all surfaces of home including the siding, soffits, doors, & trim. Once the house is painted all fixtures and hardware will be put back together and final touch ups and walk through will be done with owner.

Deck Staining
Greenwood Painting refinishes and seals decks. For Semi Transparent Decks (stains that allow you to see the wood grain through) we begin by sanding the entire deck and railings to remove old stain from surface. This provides our painting company a smooth and uniform starting working surface. Once the decks are sanded we apply the stain to the decks with stain brushes. This works the stain into the wood. Before the stain is dry we will wipe off the excess stain to prevent any puddles to occur which will leave your deck tacky for weeks and maybe even months. For solid stained decks (decks that look like paint is on them) we begin by sanding the decks completely. Not all the old product comes off but we make sure the deck is smooth and ready for primer. Once the decks are smooth we apply an oil based primer to all surfaces of decks. This seals the deck and allows our top coat to adhere well. Once the primer has cured we will stain the decks with a solid water based stain using a stain brush.
Fences
Greenwood Painting re-stains fences. We begin by power washing the fence using a rotating nozzle to remove the dirt and grime from the fence. After the fence has been cleaned and thoroughly dried out for a minimum of 24 hours we will scrape and sand any areas that are peeling or flaking on your fence. Once the fence has been cleaned and sanded Greenwood Painting will re-stain your fence using an airless sprayer and back brush all surfaces after the stain is applied. This ensures the stain is worked into the wood and not left on the surface.
Refinishing Doors
Greenwood Painting repaints and re-stains front doors and side doors as well as paints existing stain doors. If your door is in good shape we may just reapply two coats of either paint or stain to your existing door. However, if your door is in bad shape we will need to sand the door first completely to remove the old product and get rid of all peeling and flaking stain or paint. Wood painted doors that are sanded will be primed using an exterior based primer. Once the door is prepped we will apply two coats of either paint or stain to your front door. If your front door is a stained door we will apply a sealer over the stain.
Small Commercial
Greenwood Painting paints small commercial exterior buildings. The process is similar to painting an exterior residential home.
